Roland DG Launches the TrueVis AG-640

Roland DG launched the TrueVis AG-640, a next-generation 64-inch latex printer/cutter that expands what is possible with latex printing. 

Combining low running costs, high output quality, expanded colors, dense white ink, and integrated contour cutting, the AG-640 helps print professionals reduce production costs, expand application capabilities, and take on higher-value work.

The AG-640 is the world’s first latex printer with integrated cutting functionality, enabling users to contour cut and print seamlessly. The AG-640 is particularly well suited for businesses looking to maximize available floor space and efficiently handle a variety of work, ranging from wraps, wallcoverings, banners, and posters to stickers, labels, and decals, where print-and-cut capabilities can help simplify production.

The integrated cutting has high levels of cut accuracy that customers expect from Roland DG’s eco-solvent and UV platforms, while providing the benefits of being able to produce selected applications from a single device. These advantages include reduced equipment requirements, more available floor space, increased convenience, and less operator handling.

The AG-640 uses Roland DG’s newly developed TA-2 water-based latex inks and the latest piezo printheads to deliver high-precision dot control and consistent, high-definition output across a wide range of media.

The AG-640’s water-based latex inks have been developed with environmental and workplace considerations in mind. Low odor and reduced environmental impact make the printer ideal for applications in sensitive environments such as hospitals, schools, and public facilities.

The AG-640’s instant-dry latex ink technology enables immediate finishing with no outgassing required, allowing users to accelerate turnaround times and take on a wider range of jobs. This technology also produces a thin, media-like layer that helps preserve the natural appearance and surface characteristics of the substrate.
